New Song Complete: Hair of the Dog...
Hey There:
Working with Joe Merrick from Guilty Dog Productions, we put the finishing touches on Hair Of The Dog. This was another older tune I gutted and reworked. And boy the results are fantastic. This used to be the set opener when the Kilgore Trout band was doing its thing in the late 90's in Boston. It's thumping and high energy.
To accompany the "Dog" theme, I used a Talk Box (as heard in Bon Jov's Living on a Prayer and Frampton's Show Me The Way) and said BOW WOW on the 1 downbeat. It works! And yes, that's my old Golden Retriever Jake whimpering at the end of the song.
