Scott Nichols is a Boston-based singer songwriter.  He’s been playing guitar and writing music for 20 years and counting.  He’s played regularly for the last 12 years in many of your favorite bars, clubs and venues in Boston and the New England area.

Scott has a broad and what may seem odd range of musical influences -  Iron Maiden, John Denver, U2, The Who, The Goo Goo Dolls, Jeffrey Gaines, Fleetwood Mac, America, Tool, Chains, Pink Floyd, the list goes on.  A prolific songwriter, Scott’s composed upwards of 175 of his own original songs.  At the heart of all of Scott’s original music is a strong acoustic guitar presence.   Combined with his sometimes nonsensical, sometimes deep and provocative lyrics, vocal intensity and percussive guitar style is a showman that delivers and electric performance.

Wrenching the acoustic guitar out of Scott’s hands can be tough, when we can, you’ll find him playing with his highly energetic power trio – The Scott Nichols Band. Original eh?  Simple and unmistakable, and it works – considering the alternatives they came up with…

Cover Music???  Well… sure.  Brown-Eyed Girl, Sweet Caroline, Hootie, Buffet, Pearl Jam… While Scott does play all of your favorite sing along standbys, his true passion is playing for you his own original compositions.   Scott loves to mix it up a little and play the great songs that you’d rarely, or never, hear done acoustically.  Check him out live to see for yourself.
